Oakwood has a total of 6 residents testing positive for COVID-19. All the positive residents are located on our Advance Dementia Unit (Unit C). Families of impacted residents have been contacted and informed. If there are any changes in health status of these residents then further contact will be made with the families.
Oakwood has a total of 10 staff members that have been diagnosed with COVID-19 since the beginning of this Omicron wave at Oakwood (December 23rd 2021). We have started to see these staff return to work after recovering and receiving clearance from Public Health. Staffing levels in the facility remain good.
Oakwood continues to follow the directions of Public Health.
Oakwood remains closed to all visitors. This decision will be reviewed on 17th January 2022.
