It looks like there is a strong possibility that Hurricane Teddy will have an impact on Nova Scotia in the early part of next week. We are tracking the weather information to prepare Oakwood Terrace. The most obvious issue we have are the tents that are used to support external family visits. If the hurricane, or post-tropical storm, continues to track towards Nova Scotia we will need to take the tents down on Monday and cancel all external visits for next week. We will make a final decision on this issue on Sunday and communicate to family members, via Facebook and this blog, as to the status of family visit appointments either late on Sunday or Monday morning.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but we do not wish to compromise safety.
If we do need to cancel appointments we will contact those affected to rebook an appointment.
We will keep you updated on this issue as we have more information to share.
