Designated Caregiver Visits from 4/28/21

Designated Caregiver visits for units A, B and C are proceeding as planned. D Unit visits are suspended, this will be reviewed on 5/3/21.

There are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 at Oakwood Terrace.

Due to the high volume of COVID-19 cases in the local community, several temporary changes are being implemented for all Designated Caregiver visits. From 4/28/21 until further notice, Designated Caregivers will be issued with both a surgical mask and a face shield as part of the screening process. Both the mask and face shield will need to be worn throughout the duration of the visit. The face shield is reusable, please clean and bring the face shield with you to your next visit. All visits will be limited to the residents’ room until further notice.

Designated Caregivers are reminded that only one Designated Caregiver can visit at a time.

Finally, Designated Caregivers are reminded that all visits pose a potential COVID-19 risk for all parties. The risk will be significantly higher for all non-vaccinated residents, Designated Caregivers, and staff.
