Based on the fact that we now have 19 active cases of COVID-19 in the community and we are seeing a consistent pattern of new cases reported daily we are suspending Resident Community Social Visits for the time being. Community visits for the purposes of medical appointments will continue.
All other resident/family visits will proceed as planned.
The uptake of Resident Community Social Visits was poor, many families expressed their concerns about the risks that these visits posed to their loved ones. We apologize for those families impacted by this change and will reintroduce the service once we see a sustained decline in COVID-19 within the province.
