From the 29th March 2021 the following changes will be made to the Designated Caregivers visiting process:
Designated Caregivers will be able to visit 7-days per week without an appointment.
There will be no limit on how long a visit can last.
Visits can take place in the resident room, communal areas, and the grounds of Oakwood as long as Public Health social distancing guidance is being followed.
Only one Designated Caregiver can visit a resident at a time (this is a Public Health requirement).
Designated Caregivers will continue to be screened on entry for COVID-19 related symptoms.
Designated Caregivers will be checked-in at the beginning of their visit and checked-out when they leave Oakwood Terrace.
PPE will be issued to all Designated Caregivers. Surgical masks need to be worn at all times, masks and gowns when inside of the building.
What we ask is:
All Public Health guidance/orders are to be followed at all times.
Please do not attend Oakwood Terrace if you have any COVID-19 related symptoms.
Please stagger visits throughout the day so that we can manage the volume of visits as safely as possible.
General Information
Each resident has a maximum of two Designated Caregivers. Designated Caregivers are named individuals and have received PPE training at Oakwood Terrace. The general visitor/family visits process remains suspended under the current Public Health restrictions within HRM, the general visitor/family visits process will be reinstated once these restrictions are removed.
THIS PROCESS WILL BE AMENDED AT ANY TIME IF THERE IS A PUBLIC HEALTH ORDER INTRODUCED REQUIRING OAKWOOD TERRACE TO MAKE CHANGES.
